The Western Wyoming Rifleman's Association is offering the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Class conducted by local NRA certified instructors. Successful completion of this class fulfills the firearms safety, familiarity and live fire training requirements for the State of Wyoming concealed carry permit application. This course is intended for all teens & adults regardless of previous shooting experience. There will be evening classroom training on June 6th & 7th at the Thayne Community Center. On Saturday, June 8th there will be a live fire training and qualification session at the Coal Canyon Shooting Sports Facility 25 miles south of Afton. For the live fire training you will need to have a pistol and at least 50 rounds of ammunition of the correct type for that pistol. Cost will be $80 per student.
